Mini-Bio

• Ian Chadwyck Faragher, is the full-length version of my name. So, Wyck has long since been my nickname.
• I have lived in Ontario, Canada all my life, in the communities of Niagara Falls (born), Marathon, Kenora, Shallow Lake (Owen Sound), Ottawa, and Kitchener/Waterloo.
• I attended University of Waterloo, starting in 1990.
• I worked as a lead programmer in the computer video game industry for 5 years.
• I’ve been working as a senior software developer in the broadcast television software development industry since 1999.
• I performed live improvised comedy theatre for almost 10 years. (Not stand-up comedy; improv is live theatre with no scripts, and no rehearsals, with everything made up on the spot based on audience suggestions, like the TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?)
• I am happily married with two wonderful children.

Interests

• I play dozens of musical instruments, and am interested in musical styles from all over the world.
• I’d say the piano is the instrument I play the best.
• I’d like to get more into cinematography and photography. For now I shoot 24p standard definition video using my Canon XL2.
